Shopify App

With a few clicks, you can set up our Shopify App, which allows us to convert the Shopify standard 13/14-digit unique ID for transactions to your more familiar order number. This makes our reporting and managing your Affiliate transactions easier. After an Affiliate transaction occurs, we send a request to the Shopify systems asking for the order number and update our system to show your order number.

	We need to know your Paid On Results Merchant ID to provide the correct integration instructions.
	Find your Merchant ID

Log into your Shopify admin as usual, click Settings at the bottom left, then click Apps and sales channels

Click the Develop apps button at the top right, then click Create an app button. Shopify will ask for a App name, enter Paid On Results as your App name and select one of your email addresses. Click Create app

Click API credentials, then in the Access tokens box click Configure Admin API scopes

This next step permits us to ask Shopify for the order number for Affiliate transactions. In the Admin API access scopes box scroll down to Order and find read_orders or enter read_orders in the search box. Tick read_orders to select it and then click the Save button at the top right

Trust and your data

When using our Shopify App, we only request the order number from Shopify and only for sales generated by your Affiliates. No other data is asked for or stored.

As with all data we hold, it is covered by our GDPR policies. We are a UK-based company, storing and processing data in the UK, and are registered under the Data Protection Act. We never sell or shared data with anyone but yourselves. It is only used to provide our Affiliate Marketing service to you and it does not uniquely identify the customer.

Click the Configuration tab and click the Install app button at the top right. In the box which appears click the Install button

In the Admin API access token box, click the Reveal token once link, and then copy the code in the box; this is a string of random letters and numbers. Keep hold of this, as you need to give us this code, so save it somewhere temporarily. Head into the Tracking Options in your Paid On Results Merchant Control Panel to enter that code into the Shopify box.

Once you have entered the code into the Tracking Options, your setup of our Shopify app is complete. We will convert Affiliate sales from the 13/14-digit Shopify ID to your standard order number. If you have any questions or problems, please get in touch with your Account Manager.
