PPC Affiliates: When promoting Date The UK we ask that you use the negative keyword feature found in Pay Per Click search engines for the terms "teen", "teenager" as targeting these terms only ends up in people under the age of 18 trying to join, thanks for your understanding on this point. Program Restrictions
PPC GUIDELINES FOR AFFILIATES
Date the UK affiliates are welcome to promote the site via their own PPC campaigns, in fact we would actively encourage it as it is a great way to drive leads and sales. However, these guidelines should be followed at all times:
- Bidding on generic terms is allowed.
- Bidding on our brand name/trading name is prohibited (e.g. Date the UK, DatetheUK or http://www.datetheuk.com).
- When the DatetheUK name is used in the headline or the description of the PPC advert, the landing page should take visitors to content related to DatetheUK and not a page that promotes another dating site or unrelated content.
- Headlines or descriptions with phrases such as, "Find a date with DatetheUK", "Try online dating with DatetheUK" are permitted where the other guidelines are adhered to.
- www.datetheuk.com cannot be used as the display URL on PPC adverts when the destination URL is an affiliate site.
- www.datetheuk.com cannot be used as the display URL on PPC adverts even when the destination URL is www.datetheuk.com website. If you wish to link traffic directly to our site then it must be by mutual arrangement.
- A dedicated page promoting DatetheUK within the affiliate site can be created and included in the display URL (e.g. www.youraffiliatesite.com/datetheuk).Definition of the trademark(s)"DatetheUK", "Date the UK", "www.datetheuk.com" are all variations of the DatetheUK trademark.
